Guideline for milestones:

A project milestone represents a deadline during the project, for the completion of a task. Any delay in the completion of a milestone must be reported.

  • Milestones should be accompanied by a short report (no longer than one page) confirming that the milestone has been attained, with reference to its indicator of success (for instance, laboratory prototype completed and running flawlessly; software released and validated by a user group; field survey complete and data quality validated) so that the European Commission has a record of their existence. 
  • The milestone reports should be submitted in electronic PDF format, by email to the coordinator via the relevant WP leader, with a milestone cover sheet on the front, by the end of the month shown in the Description of Work (DoW, Annex I of the CA). 
  • The text in blue in the milestone cover sheet should be completed with the relevant information.  
  • Milestone reports shall be of a suitable quality to enable direct submission to the Commission without any additional editing.
